From a list of names to a crowned champion

Tournament Bracket Generator

Office ping-pong championship, FIFA night, spelling bee, best-meme contest β€” everything is more official with a bracket. Paste your participants, hit create, and get a clean single-elimination bracket with random seeding. Play real matches and click the winners, or let the dice decide everything and crown a champion in thirty seconds β€” confetti included.

How to use it

  1. Paste participants β€” 2 to 64 names, one per line.
  2. Create the bracket β€” names are shuffled and seeded randomly; byes are added automatically when the count isn't a power of two.
  3. Decide matches β€” click the winner of each real game, or hit 🎲 on any match for a random result.
  4. Crown the champion β€” the final winner gets the banner and the confetti. Copy the full results to share.

Byes, seeding and fairness

Single elimination needs a power-of-two field: 4, 8, 16, 32 or 64. With, say, 11 players, the generator rounds up to 16 and hands out 5 byes β€” free passes through round one. Byes are assigned by the same random shuffle as the matchups, so no one can accuse the organizer of favoritism. Every bracket re-creation is a fresh Fisher–Yates shuffle, the same unbiased algorithm behind our Team Generator and Raffle Picker.

Ways to run it

FAQ

Does it support double elimination or round robin?
Not yet β€” single elimination covers most casual tournaments. For round-robin-style repeated random picks, the wheel spinner with winner removal works great.

Are the matchups really random?
Yes β€” a Fisher–Yates shuffle seeds the bracket, so all pairings are equally likely. Re-create for a new draw.

Can I save the bracket?
Copy the results text anytime. The bracket also stays on screen until you leave or reset the page.
